Things are really coming together for the 2011 beach Ninc conference. Have you registered yet? If not, why not? You’re a writer, right? And you know there’s more to building a lasting career in the publishing industry than simple writing. Which means you will love this conference.
Novelists Inc. is focussed on the writers needs, and so is their conference. Because of that, our conference has no booksigning and is not open to readers/fans. It’s a business conference with panels full of top industry professionals for those who are serious about their career. That’s not to say we don’t value the chance to sit on the beach with an umbrella drink and soak up the sun and absorb our newly gotten knowledge from various workshops and panels. *grin*
You can, and should, visit the conference website to see our list of speakers and plans for this year, but here’s some more news to intrigue you.
We’re thrilled to announce that Kris Rusch will be at the 2011 NINC conference! Best known in sf & fantasy circles as the editor of The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction for several years, as well as the publisher behind Pulphouse Publishing Kristine Kathryn Rusch is an award-winning mystery, romance, science fiction, and fantasy writer. She has written many novels under various names, including Kristine Grayson for romance, and Kris Nelscott for mystery. Her novels have made the bestseller lists worldwide and have been published in 14 countries and 13 different languages.
Her blog, The Business Rusch, is must-read for any professional writer.
Also attending this year will be Rebecca Crowley founder of RTC Publicity. Prior to starting RTC, Rebecca worked at Penguin Group USA specifically doing publicity for The Berkley Group promoting a wide-range of books, allowing her to perfect her pitching style to a variety of media. RTC Publicity specializes in all things book-related, and can be considered a one-stop shop whether you want to be taken to the next level or you are just looking to get published.
Nina Paules of eBook Prep and ePublishing Works!” will be another industry Guest at the 2011 Conference. This relatively new company does eBook design and is there to help print-published authors gain access to ebook venues that require an expensive ISBN without sacrificing Digital Rights or spending a fortune. They have many Ninc members listed as clients.
Still not convinced? What about when I tell you Sheila Clover English from Circle of Seven Productions will be attending the 2011 Novelists Inc conference. Will that convince you?
The above mentioned guests are just part of the fabulous line-up for the 2011 conference. Be sure to visit the Conference Website and check into things. It’s going to be amazing.
PS: Did you miss last years conference? Or maybe you were there, but couldn’t keep up with al the fabulous information spewed out during the Future of Publishing conference within a conference that first day. No worries, you can now get a free eBook of the proceedings here.
