Conference Call: Location, Location, Location!

- by Charlotte Hubbard

Here’s our third installment on the conference you do NOT want to miss this year! The first thing we nailed down was our resort/beach location because BRAINSTORMING ON THE BEACH seemed like exactly like where we wanted to be–and the conference speakers and timely sessions have evolved beyond our wildest imaginings! Here’s more from Kasey, our Conference Chair:

Members are registering for the conference and booking rooms at the Tradewinds. Our hotel connection, Eric, is doing his best to get every Ninc member the best “View” rooms, but there are only so many of them. You want to register NOW so Eric can work his magic for you, too! Oh, and each room is entitled to its own beach cabana – this is so cool! You can also upgrade to even better rooms, also at ridiculously low rates – check out the information on the website Conference Center, under Hotel Info.

Some of the amenities included in the cost of your room:

Self Parking for one car per bedroom
Local, Credit Card, operator assisted access calls, and toll free calls
Use of Fitness Center, Tennis Courts, Body Works Salon/Spa
Domestic in/out faxes plus high-speed internet access
Fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster
Hair dryer, makeup mirror
Daily coffee/local newspaper
Business Center Use/Internet Use
In-room safes
Wireless Internet access in guest rooms, common areas.
Beach Cabana (worth a second mention!), Miniature Golf, & Paddleboats
5 pools and 2 whirlpools, plus a giant inflatable waterslide
11 restaurants, ranging from the Palm Court Italian Grill to Pizza Hut
KONK Club for kids
Concierge to arrange fishing, golf, snorkeling excursions, etc.
Pet-friendly rooms plus a secure Pet Play Zone

And the real biggie: The hotel will provide 20% Discount Cards for Food and Beverage to all overnight group attendees, and these cards may be used at both the Tradewinds Island Grand and its sister hotel a few steps down the beach, the Sandpiper Suites.

We’re getting glowing reports on the hotel, the restaurants, the views, and the friendly staff. Frankly, we lucked out here; the economic downturn of last year made the hotel world as eager to book conferences as we were eager to find a great hotel at dirt-cheap prices. We’re not going to see prices this low again, not for the fabulous resort setting we’ve got for Brainstorming On The Beach.

  1. I’m coming, I’m coming. Can hardly wait. Worth the 3000 mile flight.

  2. I was still on the fence and I just missed the cutoff for the better rate– but you convinced me, Charlotte. I’m going to register. Yay!

  3. I’m there. Who can miss that combination

  4. It looks and sounds fabulous! I wish I could be there!

  5. Hey, good to get Sherri OFF that fence…hey, fence sitting can HURT! ; p

If I’ve whipped anybody else into a “gotta GO” frenzy here, I’ve done my job! One more installment in this series, about our Night Owls, and then it’s back to your regularly-scheduled programming. But NOTHING about this conference will be “regular” or ordinary–it seems some of our most dynamic presenters are seeing what a fabulous line-up we have and feel THEY must join us now, too! Check the NINC site for further details!
