Hear, Hear, from our Fearless Leader!

And I'll add my few-cents' worth that while I belong to other writing orgs, NINC sponsors the only conference I REFUSE to miss, and publishes the most useful, interesting newsletter of any org I've belonged to. And we don't do promo! We don't coerce each other into buying our books!
Highly refreshing!

AND--while I'm on here--let me announce THE WINNER of the contest I held during my rein as yestereday's Blog Queen: Amy Smith! Amy gets her pick of books from either of my websites, for posting some
remarkable quotes. EVERYONE had great ideas, and thanks for visiting me here!

I, for one, am glad that Ninc exists. As a former president of the Horror Writers Association (the world's largest organization of professional horror writers) I was and am constantly frustrated by the split-personality that many writing orgs unintentionally create. They want to help career writers but feel the need to cater to new writers to fill their ranks, which means they end up diluting their purpose/message and end up helping very few. Ninc avoids that by creating a very tight focus and sticking to it.

Highly refreshing to this career novelist!
