I agree; being reviewed is one of the perqs of being published, right up there with being well edited. I also love to get emails from readers with their private reactions to my books for the same reason: it means someone really read my book and took the time to tell me about it. It’s great when the garden club lady points out that there’s no such thing as purple impatiens (I meant them to be petunias) because it proves she was reading with attention. And someday I may get to correct that little oversight.
