I was hired to ghost once (and, yep, the contract prohibits me from saying anything more than that). And then I was fired–precisely because I was unable to sound like another writer, which is indeed necessary. No complaints. I was treated fairly and courteously. But the experience taught me that I’m all wrong for ghosting. My voice is too distinctive, I’m not able to sound like anyone else. Which is okay, since I worked to develop a distinctive voice as a writer, it’s mostly an asset to me, and no writer can be suited to everything.

*thud* (That was me, falling off my chair.) The ghostwriting business is clearly not for me. To produce a novel that quickly, how do you actually go about it in practise? No revisions? All planned out to perfection beforehand? Pure genius?
