Last night, we celebrated Ninc’s twentieth anniversary with a gala dinner looking out over the St. Louis arch. Most of our founders were there, and we heard the history of the group, as well as congratulating Harlequin Books, which gave many of us our start, on their 60th.
Our speaker, publicist Scott Manning, regaled us with stories of writers gone wrong on publicity trips. Some were hilarious, some startling. It was a relaxing way to wrap up the day and spend time visiting with writer friends new and old. We even had cake!
