Hi! I live in Klamath Falls, and I was delighted to find this article. May I have permission to reprint it in the Klamath Writers Guild newsletter, Literally Speaking? I would of course include your byline and a paragaph of promotional material, and send you a copy of the completed electronic edition of the newsletter.

I left my email in the little form--please contact me and let me know, thanks!

Hi Vonna,
When I began writing historicals in the 1980s, there was a wonderful variety from Vikings to Native Americans and the books sold well. Now everything is being funneled through the Regency era, which has never spoken to me. There are just so many ways a duke can be dashing! I hope publishers will soon realize they are destroying the historical market by making it so narrow readers will soon have had enough. Best of luck with your Kindle experiment.
