Save these dates and join us in San Diego! If you can slip away a day early or linger a day longer, so much the better because this is going to be a dynamite conference. Anita Fore, head of the Authors Guild legal department, will be leading an in-depth workshop on Contract Negotiation Skills & Strategies. Eric Maisel, the creativity coach that everyone has been carrying on about from the New Orleans conference, will be leading an all-day workshop this year. We are searching for TV and movie writers to talk with us about creativity under the pressure of time. Efforts are being made to track down some very special guests. To make it easier to keep traveling companions occupied while we tend to business, the hospitality committee is organizing an activity package for them. Thursday afternoon they will be led off on a walking tour of the area, followed by a fun and affordable San Diego restaurant and their own Dessert Buffet back at the hotel. On Friday, a bus will take them far away for a long time. San Diego is a great place to visit and we'll be staying at the historic and elegant US Grant in the Gaslamp Quarter. Pat McLinn has negotiated incredible rates at this completely renovated luxury hotel-- $180/night plus tax for up to 4 people in a room. So mark your calendars and start tucking away those twenties. See you in San Diego, Pat Roy, Pat McLinn and the entire conference committee Comments on Ninc's March 30-April 1, 2006 "Recapture the Magic" Conference in New Orleans:"Awesome, awesome conference! This was one of the best conferences I've ever been to, for any organization!" - P.G. Nagle"In a publishing world that seems to be getting tougher by the heartbeat, it helps to get away from the craziness of the business and the inherent isolating nature of writing and just meld with some kindred spirits. Every Ninc conference I've ever been to has recharged me and reminded me of why I do this lunacy with my life anyway. And the New Orleans conference was the best of all. I just can't wait for the next one...." - Steven Womack "The conference was truly fabulous, laidback, informative, entertaining, and the city was better than ever. We all owe Pat Roy huge kudos for all her hard work in putting together such a seamless conference." - Patricia Rice "I'm just back from New Orleans, with a gazillion things awaiting my attention, but I must take a moment to thank our wonderful board and Goddess Pat Roy for one of the best conference experiences of my life." - Judith Arnold "The conference was amazing! Energizing. I've come home ready to write." - Susan Gable "A fabulous time. Very upbeat and nurturing to the writers' soul." - Ann Roth "The Ninc conference will be a yearly event for me from now on." - Janice Macdonald "Count me another happy customer of the New Orleans conference." - Mary Jo Putney
